Albert Pujols Becomes The 32nd Member Of The 3,000 Hits Club

Tonight, Albert Pujols became the 32nd member of the 3,000 hits club. He’s now just one of FOUR players to collect 3,000 hits and 600 home runs, joining Willie Mays, Hank Aaron and A-Rod. He’s now also one of TWO players to have 3,000 hits, 600 home runs, and 600 doubles. It’s Pujols and Aaron. That’s it. Congrats to The Machine on a milestone that people don’t care nearly as much about these days as they did before, which sucks, but is still really, really fucking impressive when you put it into historical perspective with the other milestones that he’s achieved throughout his major league career. When he hangs it up, he’ll go down as one of the greatest right-handed hitters who ever lived.
