Uproxx – Believe it or not, the above split screen shows the same woman before and after a 150 pound weight loss. Christina Carter, 28, spent much of her existence feeling miserable only two years ago. Her binge eating cost about $2,000 per month, and she weighed 275 pounds. She kick-started her transformation with gastric sleeve surgery, which saw a dramatic 50-pound loss and then a stalling. So, Carter turned to a good, old-fashioned exercise plan to shed another 100 pounds. After a tummy tuck to dispense with excess skin, you’d think that would conclude the success story, but not quite.

Daily Mail – [W]hen her boyfriend became jealous, Christine decided she had to end the relationship.

Christine said: “I had a few triggers for my weight gain – I quit smoking and transferred my addition from nicotine to eating. The other factor is that I was in an unhappy relationship. My ex was very controlling, told me what to wear and I believe he wanted me to be fat so that I wouldn’t leave him. He also didn’t like me having me own friends.

“Being overweight, I didn’t feel I deserved anything better – I went from a place of being ‘fat and happy’ to just ‘fat.'”

What this lady did is impressive and definitely something more people should do. There’s too much “fat acceptance” out there where people killing themselves with hundreds of extra pounds try to act so empowered even though they’re destroying their bodies. This girl doing that and making herself healthier in the face of her own mass of flesh and a shitty relationship is great for her and hopefully it makes more people out there do the same. That said, check out her new Instagram handle:

She’s all in on calling herself the Weight Loss Hero now, even has a website and Facebook page with the name on it to show it’s now her #brand. Now I’m no expert on fat people emotions but doesn’t that seem juuuuust a bit unfair to the other fats out there trying to hustle to get themselves together? She got a 50-pound head start with that first surgery, had some cleanup procedures, fresh dye and makeup, I don’t know man, feels a little like testing positive for PEDs after you’ve already won the MMA fight. Ultimately what matters is the results and I’m with her there, she looks great. But for “Hero” status? Feels like awfully lofty praise to heap on oneself with all these Game Genie cheat codes she’s adding into the process.

But still congrats all the same. Now she’s just got to keep it up forever and ever. Should be a piece of cake (sorry for triggering):
