Pacers Halftime Review Lurches On With Better Acts
After an abysmal hand was dealt with the wheelchair halftime show and the unaired stream; Pacers’ halftime shows have another shaky showing after back to back wins over the weekend, and taking an L last night.
Rockets vs Pacers – Last Night
This guy would obviously crush at an E.D.M. show where everyone is rolling off molly. Instead, they flew his ass out from Vegas to spin like a top on the hardwood in front of a bunch of Hoosiers (people from Indiana, you uncultured swine.) One time I went to Knollfest at Butler University. It was EXACTLY like Coachella with the exception it was on our front lawn, and there were 6 people in attendance. Four of those people being me, my friends, and one hippie girl who had a flashing L.E.D. hula hoop. Everything at Knollfest sucked. BUT, the girl hula hooping was something to watch when nothing was going on.

While this spinning wheel halftime act is entertaining to watch while nothing is going on, I have a hate for his excessive spinning. Man’s interest in the wheel peaked when it was discovered by cave dwellers and has declined every night at 7:30 pm when Pat Sajak interrupts Jeopardy. I give the man attached to a wheel 4/10.

Pacers vs Bulls – Friday, November 2
I’m treating the Bulls halftime show like it wasn’t a halftime show, because I think the Bulls forgot to book an act. They just put the camera on DJ Commando in the stands and let him do his thing. DJ Commando was solid, but I don’t understand DJ’s. They control the mood of the party, but I see a lot of twisting and turning of knobs and I feel like a lot of this work could have been done at home. FILE – SAVE AS – “Dope Beatz.” I realize this is not a new take, but no one has ever told me what a DJ is doing on his laptop (I’m sure the DJ community will kindly tell me after this.) I had a professor in college who would pretty much beg us to ask what he did the previous night so he could tell us he’d been out since 3 AM ripping up raves yet still somehow managed to show up to teach an entry-level college course. Ignorance and pettiness are why EDM Vibbs never came alive. Not techincally a halftime show. -/10
BUT the Dunkin’ Donuts race (No Free Ads) during a 4th quarter timeout was INCREDIBLE. These athletes are running like America runs on Dunkin’ (Free Ad.) The meth-like racing style of BIGGIE BAGEL is entertaining, but the 2nd wind coming from CUPPY COFFEE brought home the W. Not a halftime show, but giving this a 9/10 for timeout games. Only way I could have cared more was if CUPPY COFFEE was my own seed.
If this link fails like others before it, know this race was the shot of adrenaline the crowd needed in the 4th quarter.
Celtics vs Pacers – Saturday, November 3
This game wasn’t streamed on the NBA app but luckily thanks to a guy on twitter sent the photo below. I’m woke and realize this girl is probably catching most of her air by hitting the right angle like a Bumble profile pic, AND two guys catching a girl on a popsicle stick doesn’t sound great on paper. BUT, so much can go wrong with this show. Cheerleaders are trained to catch each other, yet I’ve seen cheerleaders lifted up and topple like a Sadam Hussain statue. Danger is 99.9% fun to watch. Anyone that would risk breaking their neck to get a few Ooo’s and Ahh’s from a diminished halftime crowd gets respect in my book. This halftime show gets a 6/10.
