Northwestern Let Its Seniors Design Jerseys For This Weekend And They Are Absolutely Stunning

I don’t use this term lightly. These are absolutely stunning. I mean STUNNING. Maybe it’s just bringing me back to my love of retro jerseys because they look a little familiar:

But, I love them. Going with black as the primary color over purple isn’t necessarily surprising. Kids love wearing black jerseys. But, having the purple touch to it is perfect. What I really like though are the shorts. The Wildcat logo that’s a bit oversized on just one side is a unique look and one I wouldn’t hate to see more of.

Northwestern isn’t the first team to have its players design a jersey but we need more of it. It’s a cool thing for senior day and they tend to deliver. Plus, let’s be honest, this is a recruiting tool as well. Kids care about cool jerseys. Let them design it.
