Kevin Willard Screaming 'You Have A 7'1" White Guy On You' Is A Tough Look For Big White Guys On The Court

So every year the Big East and FS1/Fox does a cool thing. They mic up the coaches, don’t really show commercials and you get to listen in. This year it was Seton Hall/Butler over the weekend.

Let me tell you something. Kevin Willard is awesome (so is LaVall Jordan). But, this is a tough look for big white guys out there.

Willard knows where the mismatch is. He wanted Taurean Thompson to attack Nate Fowler (who is listed at 6’10”). Why? Well he’s a ‘7’1″ white guy.’ That’s a tough look.

Now, on the flip side. Fowler played good defense! He forced Thompson into a pretty pointless pass. That’s a win for big white guys everywhere on the court. Also a big win for Kevin Willard’s son who can apparently take Fowler off the bounce.

Sometimes with coaching it’s about staying simple. Attack the big white guy.
