High School Kid, Mac McClung, Throws Down An Absolutely Terrifying Mid-Game Dunk
Do people know about this kid? Mac McClung? I get that he’s only a high schooler but holy shit can he fly. He’s six-foot-two, one-hundred-seventy-five pounds and putting down dunks like (a white) Zion Williamson. It’s confusing to watch because he looks like a guy who’s going to sit there and clap for the ball, not smash his head on the backboard. I saw the original clip on House Of Highlights and immediately started doing pushups. Once my adrenaline died down, I texted Coley to see if he knew him. Apparently, I’m the last one to the party.
I’m actually embarrassed I didn’t know who he was. He’s literally all over Instagram. And each highlight is crazier than the last. It’ll be interesting to see what he does next year at Georgetown. Especially considering the competition will be a little bigger than the pre-pubescent high schoolers he’s playing with currently. I’d love to see a “welcome to the league young fella” moment. But based on his highlights I don’t know if that’ll happen.
