College Football Playoff Week 14 Rankings Are Here. They Are Bad News For Alabama And Utah.

On the surface, the biggest change came at the top (we'll get to that), but I think the committee sent an even bigger statement with one teams rise: Baylor. 

Baylor rose from 14 to 9 after beating 6-5 Texas. Maybe this was fixing their overreaction to dropping Baylor down too far after the Oklahoma loss. Or MAYBE this is the committee positioning Oklahoma to get into the playoff if they win out and Georgia loses the SEC championship. If that does happen, it will give OU 2 top 10 wins, and a conference championship. That will be a better resume than Utah and Alabama. 

The most likely top 4 at the time being if there are no upsets:

1. OSU

2. LSU

3. Clemson

4. Oklahoma

If Georgia beats LSU:

1. OSU

2. Georgia

3. Clemson

4. LSU

If LSU beats Georgia, Oklahoma loses to Baylor and Utah wins out? 

1. OSU

2. LSU

3. Clemson

4. Alabama/Utah/Baylor (I'm not sure what they'd do here)

Baylor's playoff hopes are very alive. I wouldn't be shocked if they snuck in over Alabama & Utah if they have a statement win over Oklahoma. 

Ohio State jumping LSU is whatever. OSU is ranked #1 in SP+, FEI, and FPI. Makes sense according to the numbers. 

A lot still has to happen. Should be excited!!!
