Brooks Koepka Deserves Credit For Putting Up With Bryson DeChambeau Throughout The Ryder Cup

On today's Pardon My Take... JUSTIN THOMAS! One of the best golfers in the world is coming off the convincing Team USA victory at the Ryder Cup last week, and joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter today to discuss what it was like to root for (and not against) some of the other American golfers, the time he ejected a fan, the impact Tiger Woods has had on him, and much more.

But as Big J's always do, Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter had to get the question that everyone was thinking off their chest early on in the interview: what was it like for JT to be on the same team as BOTH Brooks Koepka and Brooksy Bryson DeChambeau? Here is how that conversation unfolded:

Mr. Cat: Would you say that Brooks was the best teammate because he was able to stomach Bryson for an entire week?

Justin Thomas: I mean, it was impressive watching them get along because I mean, I think a lot of people are like, "Oh, you know, it's all for show, it's all for this." But I mean, I watched them many times talking, whether it was working out together because both of them are meatheads and feel the need to work out at 9:30 at night or whatever it is. And talking together off the golf course, whether it was eating or what not. So, I don't know, I mean, it definitely threw me for a loop because I did not think they were going to be that social. But they were great, and I don't know if they're back to hating each other or what's going to go on there...

Mr. Cat: Wow, I didn't realize that, so it really was like a Rocky IV, if I could change you could change kind of thing where they genuinely were spending, let's not say tons of time together, but you did witness them talking, conversing, eating, not fighting.

Justin Thomas: Yeah, absolutely.

Mr. Cat: That's why Brooks is the best, yeah. Because he can stomach him.

Mr. Commenter: It shows that Brooks, credit to him for being the bigger man in that situation, where it was up to him to meet Bryson halfway, took him under his wing, kind of showed him the ropes.

Brooks Koepka: always the bigger man. HUGE props to him for being the one to squash the beef with Bryson DeChambeau (for now, at least). Is this the end of the Brooks vs. Bryson rivalry for good, or will it return in 2022? only time will tell.
