Chvrches Dedicated A Song To Harambe At U.K.’s Reading Festival
Honestly, being killed was the greatest thing to ever happen to Harambe. Sure he’s not alive to reap the benefits, but don’t all geniuses not get the recognition they deserve until after death? Galileo, Mendel, Van Goh, and many others true contributions to society weren’t fully appreciated until they were shot by a zoo employee. And now we can add Harambe to the list. A gorilla in life, a legend that will live forever in death.
And the thing is, love him or hate him, you have to appreciate his star power now. I’m not even the biggest Harambe fan, but I can recognize a star like this only comes around once in a generation. Look at it this way- Chvrches are from Glasgow, which couldn’t be more different than Cincinnati if it tried, and they are shouting out Harambe. That’s when you know you’ve made it. Haters will hate, but Harambe is laughing all the way to the bank. Well, Portnoy is. Because Harambe is dead. Very, very dead.
