Sixers Shit Away An Early Double Digit Lead And Drop Game 1 To The Knicks

Welp, we got a war on our hands, folks. We knew that going in. It doesn't matter the Sixers have the best player on Earth on their squad or won their last 9 games heading into the postseason. The Knicks got that moxey. The Sixers were up double digits in the first quarter ending the period up 34-25. They also outscored the Knicks in the 3rd by 15: 36 to 21. That means they bested the New York Knicks by 24 points in half the game. So...how in the name of Zeus' BUTTHOLE did they end up losing the game by 7 points?

It's quite simple, really. You get outscored 33-12 in the 2nd quarter and 33-22 in the 4th quarters of a playoff game. And when you get out-rebounded in super embarrassing fashion 55 to 33 (including getting beat on the offensive glass 23 to 9 boards - PATHETIC), you're going to lose. Plus the likes of Josh Hart hitting every batshit crazy 3-pointer possible doesn't help, either. Oh, and shit like this:

Also, It's the NBA. The refs are the refs. Scott Foster arguably belonged in jail along with Delco Timmy D from over a decade ago and he's still in the league, calling his shots, and officiating Game 1's. Just gotta deal with it no matter how blatantly bullshit it is.

Long series. It's gonna go deep. Buckle in for the ride and get Game 2. It's going to be just fine. Maybe.

Cue it.

PS - Remember every Knicks fan violently ejaculating after winning a game in their first real playoff series in forever vs the Hawks a few years back? Yeah…Sixers are gonna be just fine.

PS

PPS - Phillies are 13-8 and may legitimately end the historic White Sox franchise before they have a chance to leave South Philly. Silver linings, people. Silver linings. Zack Wheeler is the best pitcher on the best starting rotation in baseball. Sit on that.
