AFC Bournemouth's Women's Side Has Thousands Of New Fans After A Video Announcing Their New Recruit Who Happens To Be A Smokeshow

Soccer twitter doesn't get enough praise sometimes. We have Adam Schefter, they have Fabrizio who is a worldwide legend and puts Schefter's social numbers to shame. They're too powerful. Enter Kelci Bowers, who just got signed on a season-long loan to AFC Bournemouth, a Premier League side's women's team. There are now thousands of quote tweets saying "Up the Cherry's", the nickname for Bournemouth, and calling for her to win the Ballon D'Or, simply because she's easy on the eyes to put it lightly. This of course is a win for the men's side, who despite being near the bottom of the Premier League table, apparently have thousands of new fans because of a singular signing.

Sort of worth noting... my research led me to her LSU women's page, where she was a freshman in 2022 and only played 150 total minutes on the pitch in her ONLY year in college. They wouldn't call me a journalist if I didn't tell you I found out she was a #BarstoolAthlete in that one season too! And according to her Instagram, she models when she's not on the pitch:

If I know anything about the Internet, she'll score in her first game and set Twitter ablaze again. And then she'll be like the Swiss player Alisha Lehmann who has 16 million followers:

The beautiful game indeed.
