Put A Boot Up Their Ass - Kevin Durant Wants To Prove A Point About USA Basketball And Beat Every Country In The Olympics By 50 Points

This right here is what we need. The Olympics and international basketball has been a little too close for my liking. I know we have 4 straight golds in the Olympics, but still too close. We need to get back to the good old days, the days when this happened:

Yeah, the other countries have gotten better and closed the gap, but not when we send our best players. When we send our absolute best 12? We should win every game by 20. Oh and it's looking that way:

[Source] - In USA Basketball’s recent discussions with stakeholders, Boston Celtics star guard, Olympic gold medalist and NBA champion Jrue Holiday, and Phoenix Suns All-NBA guard and Olympic gold winner Devin Booker are mentioned along with Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid and Jayson Tatum as the expected core of the team barring injury, multiple NBA sources and sources close to the American team told The Athletic.

Yep, that'll do it. That's how you put together a real Team USA. I love international basketball. It's basically what we want the All-Star Game to be. A bunch of the best players in the world going up against each other. At the same time nothing warms my heart like seeing Team USA beat the everliving shit out of teams. Sure, there's times where a team can compete - Spain vs USA in 2008 was as awesome as it gets. But the fact is we should be sending our best players. Spare me the talk about scheduling or needing time off before the next season.

It took us embarrassing ourselves at the last two World Cup's to get here, but fine. All I know is in the summer I want to watch our 12 best players show up and show no mercy. Beat teams by 50, good. That's what we should be doing. I'm sick of hearing about the 'downfall' of American basketball. It's time to return to our rightful place as the bully in international basketball. Set the tone for our soccer team too. Basically, win everything in sports by as much as possible. That's what we should be doing.

Oh and can we get better jerseys? We used to have awesome ones and not whatever the hell they've been wearing lately. Look at these perfect jerseys.
