Thoughts And Prayers To The Guy Who Bought A Brock Purdy To Win MVP Prop Bet Ticket For $125,000 Last Week

Well I guess before I begin this blog about the guy who BOUGHT a $2,000 Brock Purdy to win MVP ticket for $125,000 dollars last week, let me first address the guy who SOLD his $2,000 Brock Purdy to win MVP ticket for a $123K profit:

Best trade deal in the history of trade deals…..? I have it nestled in the power rankings somewhere between John Paulson shorting the subprime market to the tune of four billion dollars back in 2007, and the Browns getting Amari Cooper for a 5th round pick back in 2022. Anyways, cheers, my guy! What a Merry Christmas it must've been yesterday to count your cash over and over again while watching Brock Purdy through not one, not two, not three, but FOUR interceptions against the Ravens.

MVP front runner as of Christmas morning? Yes. MVP front runner as of December 26th? Fuck no. The man has dropped from the #1 spot across the books to #5, where he is now generally around +1300. So to the guy who bought the $2,000 ticket for a mere 125K: I'm sorry……that you're a fucking MORON.

How did he think that was a good purchase? $125,000 to net 77K pre-tax if he won, on a bet that literally took 1 quarter of football to completely change. There is way too much volatility in the MVP race for someone to make a purchase like that with 3 games to go, especially when anyone with a brain knew the 49ers were a loss to the Ravens away from Lamar being the frontrunner. And that's exactly what happened: Brock Purdy pissed the bed in front of the entire nation, and now I don't think you could sell that bet to ensure ONLY a $100,000 loss. I would say that Brock Purdy owes the guy at least a couple grand for his troubles, but chances are the guy who bought the ticket for 125K probably makes more than Purdy's base salary anyways. And it's not Purdy's fault the dude is an idiot, either.
