Sixers Kelly Oubre Jr. Struck By Car In A Hit And Run And Suffered Serious Injuries

Dammit. You never, ever like to see a Woj bomb like this around the midnight hour. It's good to see Kelly's injuries are non-life threatening and has already been released from the hospital, but man. This is awful. Especially since it's yet another hit and run accident in Philly, something that has been going down way too much as of late. For real. At least have some respect to stay at the seen and get the man help.   

Off the court this incident would be devastating for anyone, obviously. On the court, it really sucks for Oubre and the Sixers. The 76ers riding hot with a Eastern Conference leading 7-1 record (with the one loss being a 1-point fall in Bucks land on opening night), but the newly acquired Oubre has been a MAJOR part of this team being an absolute joy to watch. 

No real word on the specifics of the injuries, but it's great to see he's in stable condition, out of the hospital, and apparently might be able to return sometime this season. One day at a time. Get well soon, sir. Can't wait for Oubre to get back on the court hitting buckets and talking that talk. The man has been in Philly for about a month and already gets it.
