Fan Dives Over The Barricade At UFC 294 To Throw A Wild Punch At Paulo Costa

Good for Paulo Costa! He desperately wanted to fight today and the UFC wouldn't let him, so he went and found himself a fight in the crowd!

I don't know whether to call his attacker brave, stupid, or both - but I'll probably go with both. 

He jumped over the barricade like Ralphie getting launched through a window....

….with arguably the worst piece of offense ever thrown from the high ground.

Despite his nearly horizontal launch, he lands on his feet, eats a punch from Costa, and then just freezes like Mitch McConnell in the aisle….

He has no idea what to do or where to go from there. He's just completely frozen in time til security rushes him out. Once the sideways punch from above doesn't land, he's outta weapons in his arsenal. That's his one move.

It DOES look like he had a friend/assailant with him, though, which is pretty sweet….

If you go to a UFC PPV with your boy and he lunges at a middleweight who looks like this….

….and you STILL try to back him up in that fight, you've gotta be bros for life.

I have no idea how this all actually unfolded and erupted, but as I mentioned, Costa was originally supposed to be on the UFC 294 card today in the co-main event against Khamzat Chimaev. He was pulled from the card when he revealed he recently got surgery for bursitis on his elbow….

….but still really wanted to fight, which would've been a really bad idea considering his elbow looked like THIS a few days later.
