I stopped believing in coincidences a long time ago. Former Kentucky/Texas A&M/Notre Dame fan Drake has apparently thrown his support behind the upstart Georgia Bulldogs and in his very first game as a fan, UGA star tight end Brock Bowers suffered an ankle injury that required surgery and could potentially keep him out the rest of the season.

It's barely been two months since Drake donned a Shohei Ohtani jersey shortly before the presumptive American League MVP had his season shut down and had an elbow procedure.

So the Drake Curse has now come for the best player in baseball and (arguably) college football. Nobody let this man put on a Nikola Jokic or Christian McCaffrey jersey.

If Drake had any self-awareness whatsoever, he'd give it a rest on the team gear for a little while and let these poor athletes play out their careers in peace. Or maybe he's being intentionally malicious and using his magical curse powers for evil. I can't prove that, but it would be impossible to refute given the evidence at this point.

The Brock Bowers injury is a critical blow for a Georgia team that has looked mortal for the first time in three years. The Bulldogs have two weeks to figure out what their offense is going to look like before their next game against Florida.
