Our Long National Nightmare Is Over! Saquon Barkley And The Giants Agree To A 1-Year Deal, Which Means Saquon Will Be Reporting To Camp
Well I didn't see this coming this morning to be honest at all. In fact, this was such a surprise at such a quiet time of day, I can actually break down every thought I had while playing with my son who simply refuses to sleep past 6 AM.
First Thought: Oh thank God we don't have to deal with the weekly if not daily if not hourly banter about Saquon Barkley's contract anymore. At least until next offseason, when we will inevitably do it all again.
Second Thought: Wait, how the hell did they get this deal done after everything I read or watched said Saquon was either playing on the franchise tag or not playing this season?
Third Thought: I guess that Running Backs Zoom call Karim blogged about the other day opened Saquon's eyes about how shitty everything is for guys that are listed under RB on the depth chart.

Fourth Thought: Apparently there was always an option for a one year deal that nobody cared to mention?
Fifth Thought: This man is a fucking stud.
Sixth Thought: I'm happy for Saquon that he at least got a little bit more money and happy the Giants could bring back an important player both on and off the field without completely fucking themselves over like The GM Who Shall Not Be Mentioned did countless times. I can't believe a million dollars or whatever solved all this but I'm sure as hell happy it did.
Final Thought: Now we all can sit back, relax, and hold our breath that Saquon somehow makes it through a month of training camp unscathed. Good times!
