Was Fernando Tatis Jr. Snubbed From The All-Star Team Because Of His Fellow Players? It Sure Sounds That Way

Lot of fans sounding off about snubs from the All-Star Game, and to me this is the biggest one. Say what you want about Fernando Tatis Jr. and his actions on the field, on motorcycles, and with PEDs.....he is still one of the best players in the sport and should be an All-Star.

I'm not saying make him a starter, but he should be on the team because he's just that damn good. 3.7 bWAR this year, 16 homers, .280 average, 41 RBI, 14 stolen bags, and an .867 OPS for a team that is draggggging right now. He's been very, very good since he came back. So why wasn't he brought on as a reserve? Well because he didn't get enough votes from his peers. Meek Phil breaks it down in the video above. The players vote for the reserves and Tatis Jr. simply didn't get enough to pass Nick Castellanos, Juan Soto, and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Are they sending a message?

Are they still upset or pissed at him for the whole ringworm/PED thing last year? I guess that could be it, but this is a big message however what you slice it.

Listen, he served his time, what more do you want? Is letting him on the All-Star team that big of a deal? The way I see it, this should be the best of the best, and Tatis Jr. is one of the best players in baseball. He should be in Seattle but it sounds like some of his guys around the league are still holding a grudge. As far as I know, you are still eligible for the ASG if you test positive, if that wasn't the case then obviously I get it. But his fellow players to keep him locked out because of grudges is weird. Guy has moved past that and is playing great baseball, isn't that all we should care about? Kind of petty by the players.
