The Daughter From 'Modern Family' Got A Breast Reduction And Explained Why A Woman Would Want To Do That

ABC News – “Modern Family” star Ariel Winter is opening up about her decision to have breast reduction surgery.

The 17-year-old, who underwent the procedure back in June, admits in an interview with Glamour that she’s dealt with mental and physical issues due to her breast size for years, admitting the pain got so bad at times that in the past, she’s had to hunch over while on set.

Winter had the surgery two months ago to go from size F to a D.

“I went to a swimsuit store with my cousin a few months ago and couldn’t find a bathing suit that fit me. I really felt bad about myself. I didn’t feel happy,” she explained about when she finally decided to move forward with the surgery. She added that a few of her cousins had also had the procedure done, as well, so it wasn’t a big shock to the few family members she told prior.

“I had a lot of back problems. I really couldn’t stand up straight for a long period of time. It started to hurt so bad that I couldn’t take the pain. My neck was hurting so bad and I actually had some problems with my spine,” she said.

“I have felt more happy with myself than I ever have,” she said. “People start looking me in the eye. Guys I’m friends with can start looking me in the eye. Other people I know can finally not turn around and whisper behind my back about, ‘Are those real? Are those fake?’ I’ve heard that for so many years.”

I know the normal guy reaction here is “This is like a slap in the face of God” and normally I’d agree. But even ignoring the physical discomfort, her spine turning into a question mark, and the fact she felt so uncomfortable with them, I totally get why a girl like Ariel Winter or that tennis chick Simona Halep who went viral for her huge rack before she got the surgery would want to get down to something more manageable. If you’re a chick with anything over a D, you’re officially a Big Titted Chick and have to live your life like that. Guys bringing you home and his family wondering if he’s got one of those Russ Meyer movie fetishes, people either trying too hard to make eye contact or being unable to keep it, going for a run just to give yourself a pair of black eyes, it just seems like a rough haul and if you’ve got to make the move for yourself and your happiness, so be it.

Even moreso, being an athlete or an actress, having massive jugs is pretty limiting. You can’t be this cute girl next door character in a movie if you’re wielding inflatable punching bag tits just like you probably can’t throw a decent backhand on a tennis court if your arm can’t wrap around those behemoths either. It pains me to lose any tit meat in the world into the abyss when there are so many girls out there starving like Ethiopians for their share of it, but if it’s the right choice for this girl as she moves into an career as a non-child actress, more power to her. Sucks that she and Sofia Vergara now can’t bust out the eye-popping shower scene I’ve felt like the character development in Modern Family richly deserves but that’s a sacrifice I can make for Ariel Winter.

Given that Ariel Winter is 17 and since she’s not Kylie Jenner, she’s obviously not a sexual object that I can do an Instagram pic dump of. But her older sister on the show Sarah Hyland is of legal age, super hot, and definitely threw a whiskey bottle at a mirror when she found out about Ariel recklessly wasting breast tissue so here’s some pics of her instead.
