The Bucks And Wizards Are The Latest Teams To Unleash Their Throwback Jerseys For Next Season

Alright, I think it's now safe to assume that this is officially a thing for the 2022-23 season. Everyone is getting throwbacks as an alternate jersey. Every day we see another team announce they are turning back the clock and as I've said before, I could not be more behind this idea even if I wanted to. Finally the NBA is waking up when it comes to their jerseys. Stop making all these futuristic ones that look absolutely terrible
and give the people what they want. Give us nostalgia. I never understood why this never really became a league wide thing, considering it's a very, very easy way to make money. Current players in throwback jerseys from the glory days seems like such a no brainer so I'm happy that more teams are starting to catch on.
For the Wizards and Bucks, I like both choices. I think it goes without saying why the Wizards aren't bringing back the Bullets look, so to settle for the early 2000 era is good enough for me. It's crazy that shit was 20+ years ago, man are we getting old. I never really thought about what it would be like when the jerseys from my youth finally became "throwbacks". Talk about a kick right to the dick. If you were to look at the Wizards franchise history, there were some decent seasons while they rocked that look. They made the playoffs for like four straight years and even won a round in one of them! It also brings back the MJ memories which sometimes feel like they never even happened
But aside from him you're talking about Arenas, Caron Butler, Juan Dixon, Steve Blake, Antawn Jamison and Kwame Brown. What a blast from the past that list is. I was convinced as a young Greenie that Juan Dixon was the future. Maybe it's because one of the first few video games I ever got was his NCAA Final Four PS2 game with him on the cover. That Maryland team was fucking nails. So for me, seeing these jerseys bring me back to a much simpler time in my life. Plus I think they actually look pretty cool even in 2022 so that's just an added bonus. I think that picture with Beal plays. The hope of course is that the 2022 Wizards play better than that era which I won't rule out.
For the Bucks, I just have one ask. If you're going to bring back this look, go all the way. Give us the full TJ Ford

You can't go the throwback route and only go halfway, you need to commit 100% and to do that, you need to have the TJ Ford look, at the very least at the PG position.
The 1994-06 era for the Bucks was similar to the Wizards in a sense that it was OK. Not great, not terrible. There was a 52 win season in there in 2001-02 when they made it to the ECF before losing to the Sixers in 7 (PHI hasn't been back since by the way in case you were curious). Things got a little rough in the post Ray Allen years, but Michael Redd was a beast during that era. I feel like we don't talk enough about Michael Redd, and hopefully that changes when the Bucks wear these

I have to say, I was already excited for the 2022-23 season, but now that we live in this reality where pretty much every team in the league is bringing back the jerseys from my youth, things have escalated. I need training camp to open immediately. My new dream is that teams/the NBA realizes this is so successful that these throwbacks become a permanent thing. Not just something they do for a handful of games a year, make them legit part of the rotation and give teams the option of rocking them full time. Who says no? Not me. Not you. Not anyone.

How sad. They desperately want to take credit for titles they did not win and are honoring the Minneapolis Lakers, only this is the same franchise that refuses to retire George Mikan's number. You know, the guy who won those titles for the Minneapolis Lakers. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.
