Dave, my husband and I have been part of Warren, MI for 31 years. We have worked very hard usually 7 days to create a family style restaurant for the community. We try to take care of the people in our community (churches, schools, police, hospitals and even those walking the streets hungry) This pandemic has made us take a hard hit. My husband and I had briefly went on unemployment so our income went back into the business. We had put money aside to fix a leak in the roof and a back wall (which the city is demanding during a pandemic it be fixed) in the parking lot which divides us from the neighborhood, but now we cannot do anything due to all money’s being exhausted trying to keep bills paid during all these crazy shut downs. They now want us to open after a second shut down at 25%. Which blows our minds, because in a restaurant that might be an actual 10-15%. We need help and the community is trying to help us with the carry outs, the door dashes, grub hub and Uber eats, which we started back in July to help in any way, but it’s not enough. The only fortunate thing here it’s a slow death but it’s a death. Dave I hope you take us in consideration and even stop by to see us in person and what we are about, and even try our home cooked meals, (yes home cooked) I’m not really sure how to keep venting here Dave so for now I will say Thank you for your time and consideration. I will be saying prayers.
