NY Post - WWE legend turned Hollywood star Dave Bautista has fired shots at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson by claiming the icon is not a good actor.

After a sticky start, Bautista was widely-praised for his performance in “Guardians of the Galaxy” with fans now looking forward to seeing his latest film “Dune.”

Cena is also enjoying big success on the silverscreen.

However, Bautista has revealed he does not think either Rock or Cena are quality actors.

Speaking to the Tampa Bay Times, he said: “[The Rock and John Cena] are wrestlers who became movie stars. I’m … something else. I was a wrestler. Now, I’m an actor.”

“[The] Rock was, in a way, a movie star before he was even a movie star. There is something about him that’s really special. I’d never take that away from him.

“Would I consider him a great actor? F–k no.”

Explaining his reasoning, Bautista added: ”I want good roles. I don’t care about ‘Fast and Furious’ or ‘Bumblebee.’ That’s not the kind of stardom I want.

I’m proud to be a character actor. I want that respect and credibility and education.”

Wow. If there is one guy, one actor, one human being in the world you don't want to take shots at, it's The Rock. He can make or break anybody's career in the world. He is the man among men. Hollywood revolves around The Rock. And the thing is, he's everyone's friend. You never hear a bad word about him. All he does is work out, eat 10,000 pancakes on his cheat day, and make the highest grossing movies in the world. That's it. And Dave Bautista wants to take shots at him for "not being a great actor"? Bold move.

And how about those quotes?

”I want good roles. I don’t care about ‘Fast and Furious’ or ‘Bumblebee.’ That’s not the kind of stardom I want.

I’m proud to be a character actor. I want that respect and credibility and education.”

Dude, you're Dave Bautista, not Daniel Day-Lewis, chill out. You're in super hero movies. No offense to super hero movies, but how about he works a role where he doesn't play Dave Bautista on steroids before he starts talking down about Cena and The Rock.

And by the way, he does know The Rock is the highest earning actor in Hollywood, right? So obviously he's doing something right. And he never claimed to be a great actor. I've never once heard him say anything of the sort. But that didn't stop Batista from taking shots anyway.

We'll see how this works out for him. I'm sure he'l keep getting roles and all of that, but it's still a very interesting decision. Or maybe he's laying the foundation for a Batista vs Cena vs Rock triple threat match at the next Wrestlemania. That would be fucking awesome.
