DOWN GOES MINNESOTA! DOWN GOES MINNESOTA! THE UNDEFEATED SEASON IS OVER!
The undefeated season for Minnesota comes to an end and Floyd is staying in Iowa City for ANOTHER year. Feels good to be alive. Truth be told that was a classic letdown game there from the Gophers matched up with a game at Kinnick Stadium and you kinda had to see that one coming. They beat Penn State last week in what was Minnesota’s biggest win in decades and they were spent. But that doesn’t make it feel any less satisfying for Hawkeyes fans. This season at times has been about as frustrating as I can remember an Iowa football season being, looking at you Brian Ferentz, but the offense finally showed some actual life (seriously where the HELL has that been for the last two months?) and were able to put up enough points to withstand Minnesota’s second half comeback. You’re welcome, Wisconsin fans.
PS- Was it worthy of a field rush? No probably not but fuck it. Go nuts, Iowa City.
