And while it’s by no means his greatest gift to the franchise he’s led to three Super Bowl wins, his latest gift is still pretty damned good.

The Boogeymen theme just gets better the more you hear it. It provides that John Wick Babayaga reference I respect.

Sam Darnold elevated it with his instant classic “I’m seeing ghosts” thing. Hightower added a touchdown dance to go along with it. It’s got a ready-made disco song to go with it. And now it’s being taken to the moon in the hands of a couple of the finest directors working today, Julian Edelman and Tom Brady:

I’m not saying a team needs a nickname or a coherent theme in order to be great. Though it didn’t hurt the Steel Curtain, the No Name or the Legion of Boom. What I am saying is that this one works. It fits this team to perfection. And if I were you, I wouldn’t miss out on the chance to wear it with pride.
