Grab your popcorn! It’s time for some new beef in the rap world.

ICYMI, Fran blogged yesterday that Nicki Minaj has a new boyfriend who is a registered sex offender and went to prison for manslaughter. Yikes. Not a great look? Sure. But I don’t have to sleep with the guy. So, whatever.

Except since the news came out, the entire entertainment world is pointing out that this guy she’s dating is a shit bag human and Nicki isn’t having it.

For those keeping track at home, one of the most famous rappers in the world is threatening to sue an NFL QB-turned Bachelor-turned ESPN analyst-turned Food Network and Daily Mail host for defamation of character over something he said on his celebrity gossip show.

The reason this caught my eye is because I used to work with Jesse at ESPN. Pretty nice guy. Not somebody that strikes me as a person who would purposely throw himself in the line of fire of Nicki Minaj, that ass and all her stans on social media yelling “GO OFF QUEEN.” But hey, crazier things have happened.

When I first saw her social media rant, I assumed that Jesse had given an opinion on the relationship that maybe Nicki didn’t like. Stand by your man, girl! Being in the opinion and entertainment industry can make you say things you’re going to have to defend forever even if you didn’t technically mean them the way it came out (sup, Dave?). So maybe Jesse stepped over the line??

But I mean, does this guy look like he’s trying to start beef with ANYBODY in the rap game?!

Nah.

Despite the fact that this all seemed incredibly over dramatic (women, am I right?), I was curious what a sports analyst could’ve done to piss her off. Here’s the clip of what happened. You be the judge.

Here’s what I learned in this clip: Apparently Nicki bailed her brother out of jail after he was convicted of sexual assault of a child and is still standing behind him. And is now also dating another registered sex offender.

Now, I don’t know the rules on how this all works (I’ve never been in a situation like this tbh), but I don’t think simply stating the facts is shaming a woman’s name. Right? I guess if she didn’t bail her brother out of jail, then maybe she has a case? Idk. But I hate to break it to Nicki and her fans (and boy, are they going NUTS on social media), but he’s not going to jail. That’s just not how this works. Read something for me once, please.

Regardless, apparently Nicki needed some new beef and has set her eyes on Jesse Palmer. #ArnoldPalmer (???). One can only hope that this becomes a diss track.
