Tuesday Homestretch- Atonement

Market acting like a high school cheerleader today… Very energetic and reluctant to go down.

Seeing some increased volume in Technology with AMD leading the charge.

Saw Viking Terapeutics (VKTX) is acting like a stock I am short, up over 80% after positive trial results for their liver disease treatment.

TSLA down 12 bucks for 2 reasons:

1) Volkswagen announces they intend to manufacture 10 million electric cars on its new modular MEB platform, which is in sync with their target of starting the global mass production of e-cars toward the end of 2022.

2) Musk might go to prison.

Consumer and Financial sector volumes down nearly 20%, and would expect those numbers to slow to a grinding halt in about 10 minutes as Jewish people leave the office early to get a 4 hour head start on sundown before a holiday that Christians don’t understand but certainly envy.

That holiday, of course, is Yom Kippur. Also know as the Day of Atonement, and Judaism’s highest holy day.  “Happy Yom Kippur!” is not an acceptable greeting, so if you see either of your Jewish friends over the next 2 days wish them an “easy fast” or a “Good Yuntif” instead.

Look at me!… Fostering Christian/Judeo friendships… Who woulda thunk?

Staying on the calendar… Today is National Cheeseburger Day.  I have plans to be at Legend’s tonight enjoying a “Pete’s Corner Burger”, but for those near a ghetto, maybe visit White Castle and get a jump on tomorrow, which will undoubtedly be National Diarrhea Day for most.

And finally…

With these latest sexual misconduct allegations surrounding SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh, I have to ask:  Is anybody out there worried about their own past?

Now, before I turn this national headline into a blog about me, I should say that if this then-15-year-old girl was legitimately assaulted by the then-17-year-old Kavanaugh, I hope Brett gets prosecuted to the full extent of the law. No means no, and I can say with confidence that I never misinterpreted a “no” as a “maybe.”

That being said, I happen to be an upstanding father, husband, Christian (who respects jewish traditions), and person, but even a moral compass like myself has stepped on a fair amount of toes in the last half century. I imagine some of those toes were female and a few are possibly holding a grudge.

So just to get out in front of this as I hope to someday run for office manager here at Barstool Sports (fuck you, Spider)… If you were ever my female co-worker or (God forbid) intern, and I said/did any inappropriate things around you… Especially while I was busy writing a quasi-pornographic website from 2006-2008… Well then, know that I am truly sorry.

Similarly, if you were a young lady who fell victim to a CONSENSUAL dry hump in the late 80’s/early 90’s in either Brooklyn, NY or South Bend, IN, know that my intentions may not have been pure, but they were legal… Please don’t confuse your inevitable regret for what we did once the lights came back on with a question mark of how we did it.

Not to turn the tables, but to be honest, a few of you were less-than-gentle with me… But I digress.

And as a show of good spirit, please forward along any dry cleaning charges you may have incurred after our encounter.

Nice to get that off of my chest before the holiday… Good Yuntif to me, I guess.

Take a report.
