Woman Was Sexually Harassed On Ride So Uber Does The Right Thing And Offers $31 Voucher

NEWSWEEK – Uber offered a woman £20 ($31) credit after she reported being sexually harassed during a journey in London, it’s been revealed. In an email exchange seen by Newsweek, the female passenger first notified the company of the driver’s misconduct saying: “Driver was very forward and quite creepy. Asked me if I wanted him to go down on me. Not cool. Towards the end of the journey he was asking if I liked blow jobs, saying that he was very good at going down on girls or giving “sucky sucky” to girls and did I want him to do it to me. He even suggested that he could pull over into a side street and do it now if I wanted, which was I think the scariest part of the drive.” She went on to say that the trip had been refunded and £20 ($31) had been credited to her account “in hope that you will give us a second chance”. The email was signed off: “Sorry again for such an un-Uber experience.”

“Sorry again for such an un-Uber experience.” Un-Uber experience? Being inherently creepy is par for the course when it comes to Uber drivers. We had a driver once who looked Asian, spoke straight out of Africa and told us he had some good “Cheese” he could buy. I thought he was talking slang for a drug but nope, he was selling actual dairy products out of his trunk. Should have been sliced and diced right there. Point being you have to be prepared for anything on an Uber voyage. But it’s very classy of the trillion dollar company to offer the value for a meal for 2 at Outback for being sexually harassed. That’ll come in handy during peak times when she’s actually being violated. That company’s one convenient monster.
