The Bad, The Worst, And The Elephant Man From The Eagles Loss At Home To The Cowboys

That was a playoff game last night. With the entire season on the line the Eagles rose to the national TV occasion by going into a 21-0 deficit. I’m not gonna lie, when they took the lead 24-21 I thought everything was gravy. Hell, Pops and I both agreed they might win by 3 scores. But to the Cowboys credit (I want to take a blunderbuss to my dick for saying that), they came back and dominated. Even after being down 3 scores early in the 2nd qtr the Eagles STILL had a great chance to win. They didn’t, and I’m pissed.

 

 
The Bad:
 
The defense played bad, but they did only hold the NFL’s top rusher to 81 yards. 2 TD’s on the ground, but like the first game they’ve kept Murray in check. Cool, right? Not really, but it’s worth noting.
 
Jeremy Maclin is currently too good for this offense. Same with Cody Parkey. Only two reliable, consistently go-to guys on this roster right now.
 
Fire and castrate everyone starting in the secondary sans Malcolm Jenkins. Guy is adequate enough.
 
The Worse:
   
It’s at the point where Sanchez is what he is. He’s an OK QB that can’t put a team on his shoulders and win a game. He just can’t. If he could, he would’ve nailed Ertz right on the numbers on that one int and not overshoot a WIDE open Celek on a flag route the next drive. Screw the last pick, it was all but over by then, but this guy just doesn’t have that “IT” factor that’ll win you games.
 
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS RUNNING GAME? The O-Line being banged up isn’t an excuse anymore. Shady being indecisive doesn’t cut it in these games. 16 rushes for 64 yards is very, very below average for a supposed top RB in the game, IN HIS PRIME. Also, where have all the Darren Sproles gone?
  
The Elephant Man:
 
Bradley Fletcher was targeted 5 times to the tune of 5 catches and 3 TD’s. Cary Williams had six penalties all to himself. SIX. Two of which were on the same damn play when he held Terrance Williams after 5 yards then got called for PI another 20 strides down the field. I can’t fathom why there wasn’t an attempt to upgrade this position over the offseason. Something. Anything. How about we at least use that first round draft pick on a defensive back instead of a “project” ILB out of a shit conference that’s a healthy scratch every game. Infuriating.
 
TURNOVERS. After 4 yesterday they’re still leading the NFL with 34 giveaways. UNACCEPTABLE.
 
DISGUSTING:
 

 

Can’t trust a man if he’s born and raised in North Jersey and becomes a Cowboys fan. Can’t. Won’t.
 

 
Also, not too sure what this is, but I will convert to Islam if it guarantees a Super Bowl. Don’t even need the 72 virgins. Give me 40 with a couple Lombardi Trophies and we’ll call it even.
