That's Some Bullshit: KHL Player Who Beat The Hell Out Of Entire Team Facing 20-Game Suspension

THN – Barys Astana forward Damir Ryspayev has already been sentenced to a full pre-season ban after his actions during an exhibition contest against Red Star Kunlun on Monday, but the KHL could come down hard on the 21-year-old and ban him from competition nearly half the season.

According to a report from Russia’s Championat.com, Ryspayev could be facing a 20-game suspension for his actions, which works out to exactly one-third of the 2016-17 campaign. A 20-game ban wouldn’t be the first time Ryspayev has been suspended, but it would definitely mark the longest suspension of his KHL career. Previously he had received short suspensions and one five-game ban for punching a downed Michal Kempny. And if that incident caused the KHL to express “extreme concern,” it makes sense that Ryspayev’s actions during the tune-up contest against Kunlun would result in a serious suspension.

It’s been the biggest story in sports for a week now. All that anybody has been talking about. The time that Damir Ryspayev went on a rampage during a KHL preseason game and beat the shit out of the entire Red Star Kunlun team. And it appears that the story has taken a shocking, drastic and quite frankly, offensive, turn as the KHL is planning on suspending Ryspayev for 20 games this season. So let me get this straight. Tom Brady, who intentionally deflated footballs in order to gain a significant competitive advantage and then lied about the whole ordeal for months, only got suspended for 4 games. As Pardon My Take has pointed out, Aaron Hernandez–who is a convicted murderer–still hasn’t been been suspended 1 game by the NFL. But Damir Ryspavev fights a few guys and now he’s getting 20 games thrown at him? Well that’s some straight up bullshit. Is Portnoy going to have to fly me out to Moscow so I can get arrested at the KHL headquarters in protest? I don’t know, maybe.

I’ve already said all that I’ve needed to say about this situation before. But it just makes negative sense that the KHL would be coming down on Ryspayev this hard. Because none of this even happens if the Chinese team grew a set of balls and fought back before half their team got put to sleep. Basically the KHL is suspending Damir Ryspayev for Red Star Kunlun being a bunch of pussies. It’s the biggest miscarriage of justice since Vanilla Ice was forced to pay royalties to Queen and David Bowie for “Ice Ice Baby”.

Now to the GIFs because they are all time classics.
