President Obama Finally Hops On The Net Neutrality Bandwagon (This Issue Affects Anyone Who Uses That Thing Called The Internet)

WASHINGTON, Nov 10 (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama asked the Federal Communications Commissionon Monday to set the ‘strongest possible rules’ to protect net neutrality as agency writes new Internet traffic regulations. Obama urged the FCC to prohibit so-called paid prioritization, deals in which content providers would pay Internet companies to ensure smooth delivery of traffic. He said the FCC should reclassify consumer broadband service to be regulated more like a public utility.

Do you use the Internet? Yeah? Well, shit, pay attention to this issue. If nothing is done to ensure the Internet is protected for us common folk then the likes of Comcast, Verizon, Time Warner and other service providers will have us by the balls (even more so). These monopolies will be able to slow down connections for specific web sites solely because they can. We’ve already seen it in small doses. Comcast was in contract talks with Netflix earlier this year and all of a sudden it “coincidentally” took longer for videos to load. The Commie cable provider put the streaming video site in the Sharpshooter until they agreed to pay the man. You think waiting an extra couple minutes for The Office reruns ruins your night? Try researching something for school or work and Google goes tits up because they refused to pay Verizon a “protection fee”. Same goes for every site on the web. Sports, music, Netflix, online shopping, FREE PORN – Nothing is safe. It’s essentially legalized extortion. So let’s get this shit figured out. It’ll be hell or high water if Barstool Sports can’t provide our standard cunt defending baby dicks fish blowjob videos quality material on a daily basis.
