DailyStarThe How You Remind Me rockers have repeatedly been voted as one of the worst bands of all time, but that hasn’t stopped podcaster Jesse Carey. He has raised nearly £10,000 so far and plans to spend the next week listening to the Canadian band’s entire catalogue. Jesse, who says listening to Nickelback for seven days is the “ultimate test of human endurance”, has even consulted DOCTORS – who told him he cold face irreversible ear damage from the feat. The proceeds will be given to Charity:Water – an organisation that builds clean water projects for struggling communities.

First and foremost, let me state that I 100% agree with WSD on the idea that Nickelback is a grossly underrated band and all the hate that gets spewed their way just doesn’t make any sense. So now that that’s all cleared up, it’ll make more sense as to why I’m saying that Jesse Carey is the biggest fraud this side of the Mississippi (I don’t know what side of the Mississippi he’s on). I mean sure, listening to 168 straight hours of anything sounds pretty torturous. But I’m willing to put all my money on the line that Jesse Carey actually likes Nickelback and he’s just using their terrible reputation to pull a fast one on all of us. You want me to give you my moneys? Listen to 168 straight hours of Meghan Trainor and then maybe we’ll have a discussion. Listening to Nickelback on loop ain’t no walk in the park, but who walks in the park anyway. Fun Fact of the Day: You get like 20 hours of adrenaline every time that “Rockstar” comes on, rendering this the least impressive feat ever. I get it’s for a good cause and everything, but it’s just a shame that so many people are falling right into this obvious trap. Looking directly at you, “Blong Kong”, who just gave a man $1,000 for enjoying the next week of his life.

P.S. – Giroux gets what I’m talking about.
