Joel Embiid Is Dominating Center City Sips, But Will He Dominate The NBA? For The Love Of God Please Yes

If you’re from the Philadelphia area and you have at least one friend on SnapChat, you probably saw that Joel Embiid was out at Sips last night. How anybody could have noticed it was him, we’ll never know. Just kind of blends in with the common folk out there. Hardly distinguishable from any other Timmy or Tommy out and about last night. But that’s what makes JoJo a true champion of the people.

Real talk, Joel Embiid is probably the biggest star Philadelphia has to offer right now. He’s one of the rare Philly athletes today who is universally loved pretty much everywhere. Usually the way it works is as soon as Player X throws on a Philly jersey, he immediately becomes a scumbag in the eye of the public outside of Philadelphia. But that’s not the case with Embiid. The sports world loves him and he’s pretty damn near a god in Philadelphia even without doing much on the court yet. What I’m trying to say is that no matter where he goes, he’s always going to have people taking pictures and taking videos and going up to talk to him. That just comes with the superstar territory. So plenty of athletes in that position would probably just lay low for the most part to make sure their public image never takes a hit. Not Joel Embiid though. He’s got a happy hour to attend and if that means he’s going to end up on 5,000 different SnapChats dancing to “Despacito”, then so be it.

One championship. That’s all it will take for Joel Embiid to become immortal in the city of Philadelphia. He’s about 80% there already (much like the constant state of his health) and he really hasn’t even done anything yet. One championship and there will be a statue of this beautiful man on every single corner in the city. TTP.
