Hey, remember when this guy was the manager of the Phillies…THIS SEASON BEFORE QUITTING ON THE TEAM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YEAR. I mean, fuck man. The dude blatantly walked out on his players and this city to hightail it to easy street in Chicago. It’s not even 4 months later he’s already back greasing his balls to the Cubs, a spot where he arguably always wanted to be, anyways. Still, fuck this guy for snaking a life boat off this Titanic of a team. If myself and every other die-hard Phillies fan is forced to go down next to the guy playing the cello, so should the man making millions who is somewhat responsible for the disaster.
“Class act, one of Chicago’s favorites.” Yeah. Maybe him and his teeth should have never left in the first place. And how about that bitch with the “You resigned from that position to have a little fun again?” It sucks cause she’s 10000% right, but come on. Some things are better left unsaid.
PS – Loved hearing insider stories about Ryno’s coaching – or lack of. One specific tale involved Sandberg getting overly frustrated during Spring Training because a young prospect couldn’t get his hands around quick enough on an inside pitch. Sandberg stated to the effect, “Just do what I did while playing, it’s not that hard.” Yeah, for a first ballot HOF who is one of the Top 3 second basemen of all-time it probably isn’t that hard. But for a fringe kid looking to make the show, ya might want to coach him up a little more.
