Does This Look Like The Face Of A Man Who Robbed A North Carolina Bank At Gunpoint?

PINEVILLE, NC - A short person dressed in a Star Wars character outfit robbed a bank just miles from the South Carolina line in Pineville. The thief was dressed in a Darth Vader outfit and held a long rifle during the robbery on Monday, according to photos from the scene.

The 5-foot-tall robber didn’t just wear the mask, but also black gloves and a chestplate that resembled that of Darth Vadar. A woman at the bank can be seen on photos handing over bundles of cash to the suspect, who quickly fled with thousands of dollars.

So to answer the question, yes. That most certainly looks like a man who just robbed a bank in North Carolina at gunpoint. Quick sidenote: how about NBC4 coming in hot right away calling the suspect “a short person dressed in a Star Wars character outfit” as if there’s no chance in hell this was the actual Darth Vader just because he’s short? 1) Vader didn’t need size, he just used the force. And 2) he was from a galaxy far far away, so how do we know that 5’0″ isn’t giant status for him? Pretty fucked up of NBC to height-shame like that if we’re being honest with each other here. Another thing to keep in mind is that Star Wars Episode 7 is set to release at the end of the year, so there’s a strong chance this is all one big publicity stunt. Either way, it’s not every day that Darth Vader comes out to play and robs a bank with a rifle, so chalk this one up as a win for all you kids at home.
