Bloomsburg Ballplayer Kicked Off Team For Tweeting Mo'ne Davis Is A Slut

Washington Nationals v Philadelphia Phillies

TIME – A Bloomsburg University baseball player was booted from the team after calling Little League World Series star Mo’ne Davis a “slut” on Twitter.  First baseman Joey Casselberry’s tweet, now deleted, expressed disdain for Disney Channel’s announcement last week of an original movie about the 13-year-old athlete, Philly.com reports. Bloomsburg’s baseball team first announced his dismissal on Twitter Saturday evening.  While Casselbery’s Twitter account is now deactivated, Philly.com adds that the student had first apologized online. “An example that one stupid tweet can ruin someone’s life and I couldn’t be more sorry about my actions last night. I please ask you to … Forgive me and truly understand that I am in no way shape or form a sexist and I am a huge fan of Mo’ne. She was quite an inspiration.”

First of all, Mo’ne Davis is getting a Disney movie?  The girl isn’t even in High School and already has the world by the balls in the palm of her hand.  Think about it.  Even when the boys catch up to her she’s basically got it made in the shade.  Forget about baseball, she could solely shoot at the other team’s hoop in every game and would still get a basketball scholarship for the UConn Lady Huskies.  Add on a sweet Hollywood deal and the guaranteed income from motivational speeches till senility hits, she’s looking at the next 5+ decades of nothing but net.  Good for her.

But it’s probably not the best move to publicly call a child a “slut” in any context.  However, it was obvious Casselberry was kidding.  I think.  He seriously can’t think a 13-year-old girl is a whore and that’s why she lost the LLWS and is getting a movie deal.  It’s just a shame it’s 2015 and you have to be accountable for EVERYTHING.  I’m not saying he shouldn’t have gotten heat for the Tweet, but kicked off the team?  Maybe a little excessive.  It’s a college kid trying to be funny in his mind and bombed.  Just a dumbass play through and through.  It’s also the Internet age.  It’s wrong but there are about a trillion more degrading, awful things people have said about Mo’ne Davis.  Just the way it is.

If the dude upped his average if he probably wouldn’t have been so expendable.  A stone wall at first, though.  No picky no play.  Too bad he’s not 45 with no working limbs or else Ruben Amaro would give him a tryout.
