Ben Bishop Goes Number 2 As Tampa Bay Wins Game 2
And just like that we have a best of 5 series on our hands. Game 1 was a total mess for the Bolts. They just didn’t have what it took it close out a game in the Stanley Cup Final and you can chalk that up to nerves and inexperience I guess. Game 2 was still a mess but for a slightly different reason. Now there’s no confirmation on this, but there’s also no denial which leads me to believe that Andrei Vasilevskiy had to come in to relieve Ben Bishop on two different occasions last night because our boy Big Ben had a case of the natty splattys. Chances are that right now after a long night of drinking and finding yourself at a Taco Bell at 2 in the morning, you’re feeling exactly like how Bishop was feeling in the night last night. So we can all sympathize with the guy here and realize that having to play though that is just a task that no man is up to. Having to shit your pants will probably just get categorized as a lower-body injury here, and for the sake of the series let’s just pray that this was really what happened and that Bishop isn’t actually injured. Sure, it’s embarassing. But we’ve all crapped ourselves at one point in life. This just makes Ben one of the boys. Now let’s get to some actual hockey.
It may have been a rough night for Ben Bishop, but at least he wasn’t Corey Crawford last night. Just like Milbury said, Crawford is going straight to hell for this one. Tyler Johnson is going to find his ways to score no matter what so you can’t fault Crawford 100% here. But still. Weak goal that I really hope comes back to haunt the Hawks during the rest of this series. Because that just opened the floodgates for Tyler Johnson and now you’re all in big, big trouble. (By the way, this goal was TyJo’s 13th of the playoffs which is a record for Tampa Bay. What round was he drafted in again? LOL).
The Bolts also got a goal from Kucherov last night so the Triplets are back to doing Triplet things again. But now we’ll go straight to the game winner because I have to take a Ben Bishop soon and we need to start wrapping this up.

A couple quick notes on the Blackhawks.
– Turbo is legit. The kid is just a stud and there’s no two ways about it. Chief has been saying this since day 1 so this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Just crazy to see this little kid out there treat the Stanley Cup Final like he’s playing open hockey.

– Look at how sad this Blackhawks fan looks because he dressed up like an idiot to go to the game at Amalie only to see his boys lose.
Shoutout to Andrei Vasilevskiy to be able to step in like that and get the win for the Bolts. Such a bizarre scenario he was thrown in to last night and the kid is only 20 years old but he handled it like a stud. No word on what Bishop’s status is for game 3 but Vasilevskiy is a great number 2 option, no pun intended Steph Curry.
