A Truck Spilled 400 Gallons Of Shit On The Highway In Indiana And Now It's One Giant Poop Ice Rink

IndyStarA load of excrement forced the closure of the southbound Interstate 65 exit ramp onto Indiana 18 about 1:45 p.m. Thursday. Apparently a tanker dumped its load, accidentally spilling about 300 or 400 gallons of raw sewage onto the ramp, Indiana State Police Sgt. Kim Riley said, noting that the waste was 6 to 8 inches deep in places on the ramp.

That’s about ankle deep. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the pooling excrement froze, causing a toxic poopsicle, as well as a traffic hazard.

Well what are a few things that we’ve learned today? If you leave water out in the cold weather, it will freeze. Thanks to Alabama for that one. However, that fun little science experiment doesn’t just apply to water. As it would turn out, shit also freezes in the cold and now there’s a giant poop ice rink on I-65 in Indiana. Amazing.

Have you ever been sitting in traffic while thinking to yourself, “how the hell is traffic even a thing?” It doesn’t make sense. If everyone would just drive their damn car the way they are supposed to, there’s no reason why anything should ever get backed up. But that’s not really the case anymore because now anytime you’re ever sitting in traffic, there’s always the chance that the cars ahead of you can’t drive simply because there’s a frozen pool of 6-8 inches of literal shit. Kind of puts things into perspective for you a little bit, doesn’t it? By the way, do you think frozen shit smells just as bad as actual shit? It has to, right? Also, how do you get rid of a giant poopsicle on the road? I’d have to imagine the thawing out process would have to be pretty gross. Very intriguing stuff and I’m glad that we’re all around to see it.

UPDATE: Just did a little more research on this story since that’s what great journalists do and found a picture of the accident. Not even close to as impressive as I had imagined when I read the original article. But it’s still a poop rink nonetheless.
