Congrats to Russell Westbrook for having one of the greatest post-breakup seasons ever. Sure the proverbial chick that broke up with him somehow got a little hotter, married the male supermodel rich guy in the neighborhood who then hit the lottery yet again. But still, Russ fucked around and averaged a triple double while winning a great MVP race in a fun ass regular season. A true inspiration to anyone who has ever been motivated by vengeance.

Yeah having it announced during a fake ass ESPYS with only one sport was kind of weird, but it was better than having it announced before a random playoff game while Russ was wearing a kilt and a Led Zeppelin shirt I guess.

And shout out to the Thunder social media account for knowing its audience.

Lets be honest though, Monty Williams definitely stole the show.

Going into the night, I thought I was going to shed a tear for a story about Craig Sager. Nope. Instead Monty Williams dropped into my house and started chopping onions on my TV. Real deal inspirational stuff.
