Nash, Marty & Some Shitty Goalie Bring The Blueshirts Home Knotted 2-2

I was under the impression this series was over. There was no stopping this Lightning offense, especially the Triplets. Hank needed to take a seat right? Instead, to no real Rangers fan’s surprise, Lundqvist answered the bell in a big way. Put on a vintage performance in the second to keep the Blueshirts in the game before Kreider stuffed home the winner on the way to a second consecutive 5-spot on Ben Bishop. That’s 10 goals on 52 shots for Big Ben – what now? He’s gotta sit right? The Bolts are dunzo?
They actually might be. I’m surprised Earth is still intact after a playoff game where Nash (2) and Marty score together. The Rangers haven’t blown a team out in a postseason game since the Montreal series last year – but this was the perfect time to break out. Considering their track records, it’s hard not to think tonight was a fluke. Marty’s, maybe – but a light went on for Nash. On his opening goal I had zero doubt he was gonna pull up and spin away from the defender. He recognized it was a forward on him though and, like he should do every time regardless, used his size & speed to force his way to the net. THAT’S the Rick Nash this team needs from here on out.
We’re down to a three game series with two at MSG. All of a sudden those prior two losses don’t seem to carry as much weight. NY is just as capable of blowing the doors off Tampa Bay & they proved it tonight. The pressure’s all on them now to avoid giving the Blueshirts two shots at returning to another Cup Final.
10 down, 6 to go. VIVA LA BLUESHIRTS!!!!
