Miley Cyrus Is Submitting This Weird Bondage Video To NYC's Porn Film Festival
Daily Dot – Miley Cyrus has decided to capitalize on her most recognizable feature and enter her tongue into the NYC Porn Film Festival.
According to the New York Post, Cyrus has submitted a short film called Tongue Tied, which was actually released last May and played during shows on the Bangerz tour. Fest founder Simon Leahy claims “it’s a pop take on S&M,” and that Cyrus is “starting to become more of a contemporary artist.”
The festival kicks off Feb. 27, and will also feature a Tila Tequila sex tape and some “independent submissions.” So, there’s that to look forward to.
I’ve got no problem with Miley Cyrus doing this. In fact, it’d probably qualify as one of her least strange moves of the last few years. The bigger problem I have is this being lumped in with the “NYC Porn Film Festival.” You go to the site for the event (NSFW) and see it’s all artsy bullshit that’d be better off in a museum than lumped in with porn but then the sponsor for some reason is PornHub? They probably love stuff like this because they can claim it helps mainstream porn for everyone but this is 100% not that. Chicks diddling themselves to 50 Shades this weekend is mainstreaming porn. A bunch of hipsters watching Miley Cyrus with an oversized head and electrical tape covering her nips while she makes silly faces is not destigmatizing a damn thing. Just more fake edgy bullshit to distract us from the fact that 99.9% of porn could be described as art only in the same way you could qualify one of those $10 calligraphy name signs sold in Times Square as art.
I am curious as to what a real non-pretentious Porn Film Festival using popular stuff from today would look like though. If I were curating based solely upon personal preference it’d be all Czech Casting, Girls Do Porn and 18-year-old massage videos with the occasion big black dick porn thrown in just to keep everyone on their toes. Maybe a Netvideogirls for old times’ sake. A real emotional journey for a room full of guys in transition lens glasses and trench coats. Not a dry seat in the house.
