Isles Lock Up Nick Leddy With 7 Year Contract Extension

Phenomenal move by the Isles to lock up one of the major difference makers so far this season. On the stat sheet, Leddy has 8 goals 17 assists and 25 points overall. But his value goes way beyond that. He’s only 23 years old but he’s won a Cup and has playoff experience. Combine that with Boychuk by his side, its a 2 man tandem that brings much needed winning attitude to an Islanders team looking for its first playoff series victory since 1993. Garth Snow and the Isles have turned this team around with solid, young talent and locking up guys like Nick Leddy who have been there before is whats gonna take them to the next level. Hopefully a Boychuk extension is next and we can watch Leddy, Johnny Rocket and Hammer for years to come.
