If One Of These Classic Hip Hop Albums Had To Go, Which Would You Pick?

This question has been circulating the Internet for a little while now, but bubbled up again recently (kind of like the “Is the hot dog a sandwich?” debate).  I understand everyone has a different tastes in music.  I personally would choose to eliminate 36 Chambers, even though it’s obviously a classic (just like EVERY SINGLE ONE of these albums).

But I am getting a lot of heat from New Yorkers saying they would kill The Chronic simply because the other 3 are New York albums.  That is just dumb East Coast bias, though.  That is like saying Carmelo Anthony is better than Steph Curry because “Fuck the West Coast, we are from New York.”  Way too much discounting of Dr. Dre for my liking.  I mean if you are a diehard Kung Fu fan and love all those skits, good for you.  Choose Illmatic to go instead.  But don’t you dare pick The Chronic.  But that’s just my opinion, even if it’s the right opinion. The fact of the matter is that it’s really like choosing between Harvey, deGrom, Syndergaard, and Matz.  You can’t go wrong with who you pick, but there are levels of how right you will be.

And the funniest part about this whole hypothetical is that I haven’t heard ANYBODY say they would pick Ready To Die.  Best hip hop album ever.  And Biggie was 22 years old when that came out.  I was barely a functional human at the age of 22.  I mean I’m still barely a functional human now.  But still, that is ridiculous.

So I leave it up to you, the Stoolies. If you had to wipe one of these albums off the face of the Earth forever, which would you choose?
