Geno Smith Out 6-10 Weeks After Breaking Jaw Getting Sucker Punched In The Locker Room

Some things will never change. Some things are just destiny. Fate. Written in stone. The Jets being a circus is one of them. I mean they did everything the possibly could to change that team culture after the carnival that was the Rex Ryan years. Brought in a very quiet, smart, calculated head coach. A new GM that seems very competent and in control. And yet here we are – a failed drug test, a Fast and the Furious arrest, and a sucker punch to your starting QBs jaw later, and the Jets are still a fucking fiasco.

IK Enemkpali was the culprit. A 6th round pick scrub. What a fucking scumbag asshole. I mean its not like Geno Smith was going to lead this team to the Super Bowl and he ruined the Jets championship run. As a matter of fact, I’m secretly hoping this expedites the end of the Geno Smith era one way or another. But sucker punching your quarterback, man? Thats some unforgivable shit. I wouldnt be surprised if a guy like that never sees the inside of an NFL locker room ever again. Thats as low as it gets. Sucker punching anyone under any circumstances, esepcially when it does this much damage, is as low-life as it gets. But to do that to your starting quarterback in an NFL locker room is a billion times worse. Thats the guy – good, bad or otherwise – that everyone should be protecting and he goes and pulls a stunt like this.

I gotta be honest, even by Mets/Jets/Knicks standards, this one is a DOOZY. I mean its way up there on the all time list of bonehead fuck ups. Starting quarterback out 10 weeks because of a sucker punch is flat out Hollywood stuff. Any Given Sunday shit. When  you’re trying to exaggerate team dissension for the sake of movie entertainment, this is the shit that happens. Not in real fucking life as an actual NFL team.

Unbelievable man. Unreal. So I guess its time for a little Fitzmagic or perhaps its the Petty Show. Who knows. Ultimately Geno Smith not being able to take the field doesnt really matter. I kind of believe its a good thing. But its like this team is always destined to be a goddam shitshow no matter whos there. No matter who the personnel is, Gang Green finds a way to be the butt of everyone’s jokes. Its like the uniforms are truly genuinely cursed.

I sit here and I think to myself why even bother? WHY FUCKING BOTHER? Its God’s will that this team will just embarrass itself one way or another for ETERNITY. Resistance is futile. Expecting anything other than worst case scenario is idiotic. No matter how much things might get better, they somehow get worse. Eternally finding a way to lose, eternally finding a way to embarrass the franchise and the fans. PLAY LIKE A JET! SUCKER PUNCH YOUR QUARTERBACK! God fucking damnit.
