#TigerWatch Is In High Gear With Reporters Saying The Tail Numbers On A Plane At Augusta Airport Match Tiger's
Augusta.com- Buzz has been swirling that Tiger Woods would be practicing at Augusta National Golf Club this week, and it seems the four-time Masters Tournament champion is working out the kinks in his game today in Augusta. A plane matching the tail numbers of Tiger Woods’ Gulfstream G5 was parked in front of the terminal for private aircraft at Augusta Regional Airport this morning. Woods hasn’t played on the PGA Tour since withdrawing after 11 holes at Torrey Pines on Feb. 5. He announced an indefinite leave of absence to work on the flaws in his game Feb. 11. “My play, and scores, are not acceptable for tournament golf,” Woods said. “Like I’ve said, I enter a tournament to compete at the highest level, and when I think I’m ready, I’ll be back.” Woods skipped events at PGA National and Bay Hill. After informing Arnold Palmer that he would not be playing in the event he’s won eight times, Woods said “I hope to be ready for the Masters, and I will continue to work hard preparing for Augusta.”

I love it. Say what you will about Tiger and how he can’t play more than 12 holes without getting hurt and how many majors he hasn’t won in the past 6 years but nobody makes people freak the fuck out like this more than Tiger. It’s the best. This whole thing about reporters reporting that the tail numbers on a G5 parked at the Augusta Airport match the ones Tiger has on his G5 is hysterical. It’s reminiscent of last year at the PGA Championship when people couldn’t stop taking pictures of Tiger’s empty parking spot at Valhalla just waiting for him to arrive. I can laugh at these morons because I’m one of them. When I saw the report about his plane being in Augusta I did a massive Tiger fist pump in my living room. And this is despite all of us knowing that he was set to practice down there this week. Doesn’t matter. His presence at Augusta, even just for practice, means one step closer to him declaring he’s going to play in the Masters this year. I don’t care if you hate Tiger. It’s still real to me damn it.
PS- I love the reports coming out the last couple days about Tiger’s friends saying Tiger “has his edge back.” Woah! Stop the presses! Get right outta town! That’s shocking. I can’t believe my ears. I would’ve expected his friends to say his back is like paper mache, he has the chipping yips and he sucks at golf. For his friends to talk him up? Unheard of. Next thing you know Notah Begay* is gonna shock the world and say he’s been having encouraging conversations with Tiger about his game.
