Fortune- Officials are warning residents about accidentally getting high. Officials have declared a local emergency in Hugo, Colo. after discovering that its tap water contained THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. Marijuana has been legal for recreational use in Colorado since 2014, but officials are warning Hugo residents not to drink or cook with water there until they can determine the level of contamination. The problem surfaced after a local company conducted a routine employee drug test, but unexpectedly got a positive THC result when testing a water sample, which was supposed to act as a control to ensure the validity of the employee’s results. After the company reported the unusual finding, authorities repeated the experiment Thursday on other Hugo water samples, some of which also tested positive for THC, according to the sheriff’s department for Lincoln County Colorado, where Hugo is located.

Happy Friday Hugo, Colorado! The happiest Friday ever. Tough choice for those residents. Chug a bunch of water, survive and get super high OR don’t drink any water, don’t survive and don’t get super high. Hmmmmm tough call. I’m gonna go with drinking as much water as they can find. Hugo, Colorado is about to have the greatest weekend ever. Just people walking around being happy and high. Maybe people hugging each other. The whole town just chilled the fuck out. I guarantee no crime happens in Hugo this weekend. Officials declared it a local emergency so the best course of action for the folks of Hugo is to just stay inside and stay hydrated. Their nightmare/best days of their lives will be over soon enough.

PS- This all stemmed from somebody in Colorado failing a drug test for work? Huh? Drug testing for weed should be illegal in Colorado. Weed is legal there. Who cares if people are using it? That shouldn’t be the company’s concern. They should be more worried about their town’s water supply being laid with THC.
