President Obama Predicted Just Two Weeks Ago That An Attack Like The Orlando Shooting Could Happen

Alright so this blog is ripe to have 150 comments below it with commenters fixing the world’s problems in the comment section of a Barstool Sports blog. That’s fine. Go right ahead. I’ll be called a liberal and a fucking pussy for even posting that video. That’s fine too. It won’t be the first or last time in this space. I will say, I don’t pretend to know anything about the ins and outs of gun control laws or anything like that. At the end of the day I just thought the video was interesting and obviously timely given the horrific and tragic events that unfolded this past weekend. It’s President Obama basically laying out an exact scenario as what happened in the Orlando shooting just two weeks before it happened*. That a person who is a US citizen and a known ISIS sympathizer by the FBI can be put on the no-fly list but still has the ability to legally buy guns. That seems a little crazy. Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but remember that Obama Q&A took place 10 days before the tragedy. No one should have their guns taken away. No one is even saying that. But it seems like common sense to not let somebody who visits ISIS websites and who is basically like, “Yeah I understand where ISIS is coming from” to have legal access to high-powered weapons. I think we can all agree on that but probably not.

*Conspiracy theorists/Donald Trump will say the timing is too coincidental and that Obama actually knew the attack was gonna happen instead of it merely being a prediction. That’s just the current social media climate we live in. The craziest/most absurd/most bombastic opinion will get heard despite it maybe not being the opinion of the majority.
