Daily Mail- It may look absurd, but a bizarre new dog grooming trend is beginning to take shape in Taiwan. The craze involves having your pet pooch shaped into a sphere or a square – with the desired effect being a more eye-grabbing and clean-cut look. In a method reminiscent of Edward Scissorhands’s trimming of a hedge, canine hairdressers in the Taiwanese capital Taipei are giving particularly furry customers outlandish makeovers. Hairdresser Tain Yeh, 42, who runs a parlour in Taipei said: ‘I am aware of the trend although we don’t have much request for it here because it’s very difficult to keep the shape.  ‘It came about because people were always looking for more impressive haircuts, and somebody came up with the idea of shaping the dog like a hedge.’ Pictures of doe-eyed dogs with their shapely new cuts have proved extremely popular online prompting more owners to seek out the custom salons.

Hey!  Taiwan!  Yeah, I’m talking to you.  Cut that shit out, man.  What the fuck is wrong with you.  Do those dogs look happy to you? Do they look super pumped to have their hair cut in to the shape of a Philly blogger’s skull?  No, they don’t.  Not at all. That first picture is a cry for help if I’ve ever seen one.  Just like, “Fuck you guys.  Seriously.  I know I can’t talk and tell you what type of hair cut I want but this isn’t even close to it.  I look like a goddamn Lego.” Those eyes.  Those eyes tell the whole story.  And fine, Taiwan, shaping their haircuts to look like a square is better than eating them dogs but it’s close.  That’s a different form of torture.  They gotta look like that and have no say in the matter.  To be perfectly honest those dogs look like they’d rather be marinated than have to walk around looking like that.  No more of this Taiwan.  Stop the madness and sadness.
