EW- A recent episode of Catfish featured a young man named Spencer who believed he’d been talking to Katy Perry — yes, the “Teenage Dream” singer — online for six years and had fallen in love with her. Obviously, it wasn’t her. But it turns out the pop star has heard about this sad tale. “Yeah, someone sent me a link and I didn’t actually read through it because I just think it’s really unfortunate and very sad,” said Perry in a recent interview on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up Show. The “Rise” singer added that she feels badly for anyone’s who has been fooled like this. “My heart goes out to him,” she said. “People have dreams and people live in different parts of the world where not everything is so accessible. We live on the coasts and we get stuff in a way that some other people don’t get, and I feel bad for him. So I didn’t really like to indulge in that because my heart would die.”

Because he is actually in love with Katy Perry and knew the story would get to her and she would have to respond. Maybe even toss him some sympathy sex. It’s a long shot but not impossible. I’d say there’s a better-than-good chance Katy invites Spencer to one of her shows and gives him backstage passes. Once that happens, anything is possible.
