Jonah Hill Made A Bet Where He Said If 21 Jump Street Made $35 Million Opening Weekend He'd Kiss The Tip Of Channing Tatum's Dick Through Underwear

The Week- What’s the worst bet you ever made? Whatever it is, it probably doesn’t hold a candle to the ill-conceived wager Jonah Hill made with Channing Tatum over the potential success of 2012’s hit comedy 21 Jump Street. One drunken evening in which Hill made a very public and very specific promise in advance of 21 Jump Street’s opening weekend: “I will kiss your tip! I will kiss the tip of your d–k through your underwear if we make $35 million.” At the time, it seemed like an unattainably high number, with most analysts predicting the film would top out at around $31 million. But when the numbers were crunched, 21 Jump Street had grossed a whopping $36.3 million on its opening weekend. “I haven’t made him do it yet,” says Tatum. “For obvious reasons. That’s a bad bet to lose — it’s not too good to win, either. But definitely the shame of it would be enjoyable. It’s my trump card, for sure. He tries not to bring it up at all costs. Unless he did something horrible to me, I don’t know if I could ever cash it in. It would change our relationship forever.”

Listen, is that a fucking weird bet that Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum made?  Yeah.  It’s super weird but I guess this is what rich people do.  They get drunk and make crazy bets on just how rich they’re going to be once their new movie comes out.  So one night Jonah says in front of everyone at a party that he’d kiss the tip of Channing’s dick if they made $35 million opening weekend.  A huge number that even they didn’t think they’d make so the bet was harmless.  Well guess what?  The movie made $36.3 million opening weekend.  Uh oh.  Now what?  Do I want Jonah Hill to have to kiss the tip of Channing Tatum’s dick?  No, not really.  But I like Jonah Hill and don’t want to think of him as the type of guy who doesn’t pay up on his bets either.  So it would appear we’re kind of at a super weird cross roads here.  There’s only two outcomes in this situation.  Either Jonah Hill kisses Channing Tautm’s man parts and is a man of his word.  Or Jonah Hill backs out and is forever that one friend you have who talks a big game but never pays up on his bets and who everybody hates.  Tough call.
