DeAndre Kane Is Questionable For Tonight's Game Against Kansas

Listen, I’m on record saying that I hate Iowa State and I do.  It’s just one of those things.  When you grow up here you pick one or the other.  You can’t play both sides of the fence.  And if you do, fuck you.  But even though I picked Iowa and have a pretty strong hatred towards the Cyclones, it’s hard not to respect what they’ve got going over in Ames in terms of basketball and I probably shouldn’t ignore them entirely on this blog.  The Cyclones absolutely destroyed Baylor the other night.  They destroyed Baylor in a way that should’ve struck fear into any other team poised to make a run in the tourney this year.  Fred Hoiberg and his recruiting has led that team back to relevance in a big way.  The latest polls just came out and they have Iowa State at #8 and Iowa at #14.  That’s pretty unreal.  Big things are happening in the state of Iowa in terms of basketball.  That’s why I hope DeAndre Kane’s injury isn’t serious and that he plays tonight.  Do I hope they lose tonight?  Of course.  I hope they get run out of their own building by Andrew Wiggins and the Jayhawks.  But I’d like them to be at full strength if it happens.  That way the excuse machine that is the Cyclone fan base can’t say “Well, we were missing our best player so it doesn’t really count” or some variation of that.  Nobody makes excuses like ISU fans.  I know a shit ton of them and they are the worst.  So put some ice on that ankle DeAndre and play through the pain.  I don’t want to hear any more excuses.
